and ensuring long-term sustainability, we pave the way for a resilient future for the people in the region while providing opportunities for economic growth, skill development, and job creation for its communities.
Fully aware of the challenges in incorporating sustainable practices in the industry, and fully committed to leading the way regionally and globally in this matter, SABIC is dedicated to growing circular products that boost the circular economy, adapting existing processes to using renewable and recycled feedstock, and developing recyclable product design solutions for customers. SABIC’s vision of a circular carbon economy centers on creating a system where all value chains loop back on themselves. This includes product design and development, and the company’s industrial processes including capturing carbon-containing gases and utilizing them as valuable inputs in feedstock. We launched a pilot project to investigate the use of blockchain technology in supporting end-to-end tracking of circular feedstock in customer products, and announced our commitment to processing at least 1 million metric tons of our TRUCIRCLE™ products from bio-based or recycled feedstock every year by 2030.
