Join us for an inspiration series of talks for youth around topics ranging from nanotechnology, quantem computing, AR/VR, Blockchain and more! This talk is organized in collaboration with The Knowledge Society: The Leading Innovation Program for Students Aged 13-17 http://theksociety.com/
About the Speakers:
Zaynah Bhanji is a 15-year-old machine learning and virtual & augmented reality developer. She began her journey developing neural networks as well as virtual reality experiences at 13 and is now the founder of Vital XR, an augmented reality platform to educate students about human body systems. She is supported by companies like Google, CIBC, TD, and has spoken at conferences globally, including Canada’s leading creative and innovation conference C2 Montreal, YPO, and MAX. Zaynah is an advocate for women and girls in technology. Her mentors and advisors represent some of the leading companies in the AI and VR/AR space. Last summer, she interned at CIBC Digital.
Tanisha Bassan is a Quantum Computing developer who is passionate about pioneering practical applications in this industry. At 17 years old, Tanisha has built quantum optical circuits using Xanadu’s Strawberry Fields and has simulated quantum-error correction. She is currently working on Quantum Machine Learning (QML) classification of quantum circuits and hopes to help build the foundations upon which we can use this technology to solve important problems globally. Last summer, she interned at Microsoft.
Ayaan Esmail is the co-founder Genis, which uses nanotechnology to decrease the cost and time of gene sequencing by 10X. Genis will allow the average person to be able to sequence their genome and have access to personalized medicine, treatment, and bio hacking tools. Ayaan has been invited to speak at TEDxDonMills in February 2019. Only 14 years old, Ayaan has made strides in understanding the human body through his work in Pharmacogenomics and Nutrigenetics. He is also currently working on a hypothesis to use Lysine proteins as an alternative treatment to chemo and immuno therapy. Last summer, he interned at Myant, a Toronto-based nanotechnology company.
