Elie is the co-founder of Anghami – the leading music streaming service in the Middle East.
In late 2012, seizing the opportunity of a lack of proper digital music service, Elie and his partner Eddy Maroun launched Anghami (My Tunes in Arabic). Since then, and in less than 1 year, Anghami has reached over 3.7 million users, streams close to 5 million licensed Arabic & English tracks and is integrated with 7 mobile operators. Anghami successfully raised $3M from VCs and partnered with MBC the top media group in the region to raise digital awareness.
At Anghami, Elie runs the operations and product development, spending most of his time working between clouds, streams and pixels. Before Anghami, Elie co-founded PowerMeMobile – a mobile messaging gateway provider. Prior to that, he was the CTO of one of the first portals in the Middle East Naharnet.com.
Elie was selected an Endeavor high-impact entrepreneur in 2013 and a Lebanese top Entrepreneur in 2012 and 2013.
