Foreign businesses in Saudi Arabia are no longer required to renew their commercial registration (CR); instead, they have to confirm their CR annually, as recently mandated by the new Commercial Registration Law, which came into effect in April 2025.It’s important to update your CR at least 30 days before the expiration to avoid costly delays and legal risks.

3. Navigate to "Commercial Registration Services."
4. Click on the "Annual Confirmation" option

What Happens if Your CR is Expired?
Saudi Arabia now requires one unified commercial register per business with annual confirmation; failure to do so can trigger the following process:
After 90 days of non-confirmation
The registration will be marked as “Suspended.”
After 1 year of non-confirmation
The registration will be “Canceled.”
Businesses can reinstate revoked registration by submitting the required information during the suspension period.
