We currently host more than 130 companies from a variety of backgrounds, ranging from single-founder startups to the international expansion teams of multinational corporations. Companies at AstroLabs are either tech-enabled or are innovative in nature and come from a wide range of industries, ranging from food to finance. AstroLabs currently offers three tiers of membership to serve entrepreneurs at different stages of their journey. Our “Moonlighter” nights and weekends access package at AED 750 monthly is designed for people with full time jobs but who are working on a project on the side. Our “Community Membership” tier offers 24/7 access to both Dubai spaces at AED 1,500 monthly. Finally, our most popular tier is the “Licensed Membership,” offering a subsidized DMCC Free Zone license as part of the package, starting at 3500 AED monthly. This membership tier is designed for teams of 2+, for a single member, a premium of AED 1,000 applies. All members are entitled to a wide range of community benefits (see below).

Inside our physical spaces, members have access to purpose-built coworking – either first-come first-served or reserved desks – with fast internet connectivity, ample meeting room facilitates, two member cafes with free daily coffee, tea, fruit and snacks, a multi-purpose events space for larger programs and meetings, a prayer and relaxation room, free printing and office supplies, and access to a device lab where developers can test their products on different screens. We even have a shower onsite available for members to use.

Members have access to our network of over 40 mentors, across many areas of specialization, that they can reach out to at any time. We have negotiated deals with a variety of service providers to reduce costs on everything from business card printing to professional legal support. Since all members have access to a shared messaging platform, the community itself is one of the biggest resources for support. As a Google for Startups partnered tech hub, our community has preferential access to various international and local events and competitions. We also assist our startups as they seek to raise capital by connecting them to venture capital funds and individual angel investors.

Our partnership with the DMCC Free Zone provides members with fast-tracked and subsidized business licenses, enabling companies to immediately establish local UAE residencies and company bank accounts without significant upfront capital or any minimum share capital requirements. Once the application for Licensed Membership is accepted, we will connect you to DMCC to begin the license application process. The license fee for the first year is waived by AstroLabs and you are able to apply for 5 visas with this license. The fees for the visas are separate from AstroLabs and are your own responsibility. Our dedicated Relationship Manager from DMCC guides and assists you through this process for a seamless experience. The Google for Startups (GFS) Partner Network is a global community of about 40 best-in-class startup organizations, and AstroLabs is proud to be the first Google-partnered Tech Hub in the Middle East region. Through this partnership, AstroLabs members have access to international programs such as the Passport Program, through which they can work for free in any of the other partnered tech hubs in the world. In addition, GFS runs a wide array of programming for entrepreneurs. Members are eligible to participate in programs like Google Demo Day and GFS Exchange programs. Also, AstroLabs has several mentors from the local Google office who visit the hub regularly. Google Dubai organizes a regular series of events in partnership with AstroLabs.

Each free zone has its own requirements, conditions and services provided. Through its partnership with DMCC, AstroLabs is helping startups with a payment plan. At the initial stage when you need to setup the company but may not be able to afford the entire license amount upfront (that is up to 50k AED), AstroLabs supports by allowing startups to pay the fee on a monthly basis and waiving the license fee for the first year.
